QUEYRAS is the land of authentic nature ,with wonderful waterfalls, high peaks, lakes and forests.Antique crosses and chapels can be seen wherever you go. The inhabitants of the small villages ( Saint-Véran and Pierre-Grosse) are proud of their 17th century churches. They have been woodworkers for centuries;today they carve a special wood ( "pin Cembro") from the local forests ; they make furniture often decorated with the QUEYRAS pattern.
